Comprehensive Lifecycle Support for Maximum NH90 Fleet Operational Readiness
The NH90 military helicopter equipped with a rescue hoist is deployed across Europe, particularly for the tactical transportation of personnel and equipment, medical evacuation from combat zones (MedEvac), and search and rescue missions (SAR).
VINCORION manages the lifecycle of more than 500 rescue hoists in the NH90 fleet – from in-field product monitoring and findings-based maintenance to the provision of special-to-type test equipment (STTE) and ground support equipment (GSE). This includes structured knowledge exchange with hoist operators, detailed analysis of previously unknown failure patterns, and systematic obsolescence management.
Operational experience, such as from the 2021 flood response in the Ahr Valley, drives the continuous development of the product. At the end of 2025, VINCORION delivered the first sixth-generation NH90 rescue hoist (G6 standard) to operators.
With the supplementary HMU portableV special-to-type test equipment (SRHTS), the rescue hoist can now be operated, maintained, and tested independently of the helicopter – even in mobile deployment scenarios. Both developments further maximize the availability of the NH90 fleet’s rescue hoists and reduce downtime.
