Reliable Power Supply for Armored Vehicles

An armored Boxer vehicle is deployed on a mission in a complex combat scenario – the crew has to react quickly and is dependent on high-tech systems to do so. Target acquisition sensors detect enemy positions, encrypted communication systems maintain contact with the command post, and effective weapon systems deliver the necessary firepower.

But all this requires energy – and the demands are constantly growing. A reliable power supply is critical to the success of every mission. VINCORION offers modular power supply systems for vehicles that can be used in extreme conditions – from arctic cold to desert heat, for agile wheeled armored vehicles to heavy battle tanks. Our solutions are designed to meet the requirements of digital warfare and support the electrification of modern platforms.

Generators

EPG huskyV

EPG huskyV

EPG huskyV W 600 – the water-cooled high-performance generator
The new standard for modern armored wheeled vehicles. This generator delivers up to 600 amps at 28.0 V DC—a 62 percent increase in power compared to the previous SF 217 model (370 A). Water cooling ensures consistently high performance regardless of the ambient temperature.

EPG huskyV A-600+ / A-670 – the air-cooled on-board power generator
Compact, high-performance solution without liquid cooling. Ideal for easy vehicle integration with an output of up to 670 amps. Particularly suitable for vehicles with open engine compartments where liquid cooling is not an option due to the integration effort involved.

EPG huskyV O-700 bis O-1000 – the oil-cooled high-performance generator
The most powerful solution for extreme performance requirements. Oil cooling enables high currents in the smallest of spaces – ideal for confined installation spaces in heavy battle tanks and special vehicles.

Agile Transport Vehicles

The challenge: The GTK BOXER, known as the “infantry’s mother ship,” requires power for multiple systems simultaneously: communications, sensors, weapon systems, and air conditioning. In the case of command vehicles, this also includes mobile command post systems, and in the case of medical vehicles, medical equipment.

The solution: The water-cooled EPG huskyV W 600 reliably supplies the GTK BOXER with up to 600 amps of power. The compact system fits perfectly into the existing installation space in the vehicle.

Heavy Battle Tanks

The challenge: The Leopard 2 and other battle tanks need to be extremely reliable and deliver maximum performance under the toughest operating conditions. The power supply must remain absolutely stable even under fire and during long periods of use.

The solution: Liquid-cooled generators operate reliably regardless of the ambient temperature and always deliver full power. Heavy-duty sealed bearings and high-temperature grease guarantee a long service life.

High Voltage for Infantry Fighting Vehicles

The challenge: With its state-of-the-art weapon, protection, and digital combat systems, the Puma infantry fighting vehicle requires significantly more power than conventional 28-volt systems can provide.

The solution: High-voltage generators with over 100 kW, integrated directly onto the main shaft between the engine and transmission, reliably deliver the power required for these systems. The Puma is the first IFV with a 170 kW high-voltage power system developed by VINCORION.

Solutions for Increasing Power Requirements

The challenge: The growing amount of electrical equipment in modern military vehicles is leading to a continuous increase in power requirements.

The solution: Our powerful and compact power systems can operate either in combination with the main drive system or independently of it. Tailored electric power solutions for military vehicles – from low-voltage to high-voltage systems – meet the growing energy demands of tomorrow.

EPG huskyV – The Workhorses Behind Your Mission’s Success

Maximum Power Density in the Smallest Space

Innovative cooling technologies enable maximum performance with minimal installation space – a decisive advantage in the confined spaces of military vehicles. Die EPG huskyV series delivers up to 1000 amps in 28-volt onboard electrical systems.

Tailored Solutions

Generators that precisely meet your needs in terms of installation space, power requirements, and climatic conditions. Choose between air, water, and oil cooling as well as power outputs ranging from 5.6 to 28 kW at 28 V or more than 100 kW for use in high-voltage systems. Depending on the application, functions such as boost mode, KERS (kinetic energy recovery system), and silent watch mode are available.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) – The Hidden Strength

Reduced electromagnetic interference ensures that sensitive onboard electronics, communication systems, and sensors operate without disruption. Our generators are designed in accordance with MIL standards.

Flexible Adaptability Through Software

The digital voltage regulator can be flexibly configured via software for a wide range of applications. Adjustable current limiting allows the solutions to be adapted to existing cabling and connectors. Custom parameter settings ensure optimal integration into any vehicle platform.

Temperature-Independent Performance – Full Power at All Times

Water, air, or oil cooling prevents power loss under changing ambient temperatures. Extreme heat or cold has no impact on the technology – full performance is always guaranteed.

Added Benefits for Soldiers in the Field

A reliable power supply means reliable communication, improved situational awareness, and increased combat effectiveness – all crucial factors for the safety and success of every mission. But even systems designed to increase troop comfort, such as air conditioning, also benefit from a stable supply of power.
