Radar Set / RS
The Radar Set (RS) is responsible for target detection, tracking, and engagement, and operates using the track-while-scan method.
VINCORION’s contribution: Our mobile, tactical power supply system, the EPP radarV, serves as the primary power supply for the PATRIOT system’s multifunction radar and fire control station. Two independent 150 kW diesel generator sets, connected via a power distribution unit, deliver the 400 Hz supply of power.
Engagement Control Station / ECS
The PATRIOT system’s Engagement Control Station (ECS) is one of the few manned components. Three soldiers operate the system, analyze threats, and issue launch orders.
VINCORION’s contribution: Alongside the multifunctional radar, the fire control station is powered by the EPP radarV mobile power supply system.
Information Coordination Central / ICC
At the Information Coordination Center (ICC), tactical decisions are made at the battalion level and then relayed to up to six engagement control stations. It handles central communications with state-of-the-art weapon, reconnaissance, and command platforms.
VINCORION’s contribution: Our EPU commandV mobile power supply system delivers a 400 Hz supply of power to the PATRIOT system’s ICC.
Launching Stations / LS
The Launching Stations (LS) are used to launch the guided missiles. Depending on their configuration, one launching station can hold between 4 and 16 guided missiles.
VINCORION’s contribution: Through its integrated EPS launcherV, which is designed to handle typical and actual load profiles, VINCORION offers a reliable solution to this challenge. The launching stations are primarily powered by the genset, which has an output of up to 15 kW.
Antenna Mast Group / AMG
The Antenna Mast Group (AMG) connects multiple PATRIOT units over long distances via up to four high-reliability UHF radio links.
VINCORION’s contribution: The EPS launcherV 15 kW genset, mounted on a single-axle trailer, can be used as the power supply.
